Moved Back HomeA Poem by JacquelineI'm a trip without luggage
Moved Back Home scraped off the ceiling nails were dug into the upside down floor popped a pill and felt the waves of anxiety move offshore lethargic everything brings a smile to my face adding alcohol takes me to a much happier place lollipop trees with chocolate leaves cotton candy clouds and honey bees in slow motion I head out the door and brave this cold cruel world once more crashing, falling, running blind i think i’ve gotten myself into a bind where are the rainbows, clowns and balloons the chemicals are wearing off too soon back to the room- the dreaded padded cell i thought i escaped from this hell banging my head until i’m administered some form of synthetic healing one that keeps me from jumping back on the ceiling… © 2008 JacquelineReviews
