My Constant Companion

My Constant Companion

A Poem by Mallory N. Young
"

I wrote this about my iPod and how I can't live without it.

"
You're in my pocket,
my book bag,
my room,
you're always there for me.
Play me that musical medicine
of lost and future dreams,
past voyages and adventures:
sweet sounds
to make me
laugh and sing,
smile and dance.
Such meaningful lyrics
that resonate in my heart and soul,
life and former loves.
It's hard to imagine
what life would be
without the music you supply.
You are my constant companion
and without you I'd be lost.
