Happy Place.

Happy Place.

A Poem by Melekije

The moon has never looked so bright

And all my head keeps doing is spinning

Around and around to the music spilling

Draining into my mind

I hear nothing but my thoughts

Im laughing at myself while dancing inside

I want to jump into the full moons reflection

Swim in the water that will numb my skin

The wine bottle is begging to empty

And my stomach feels like take off in a plane

I don’t feel angry like the other times I come here

Here to my happy place

The place I call my home away from home

Car after car driving on the surrounding towns

Like little specks of my imagination going to no end

There’s no TV screen

Because all I have to do is close my eyes
