Cluster

Cluster

A Poem by Melekije

I don’t know how I got here

How I somehow wondered here from out of the night

I have no idea how my mind is working

Or why I feel the way I do right now

It feels kind of exhilarating at this moment

However I can’t help but feel at home

This feeling I’ve had since I could remember

You know, that place where you feel alone

Something’s condoning your soul to just feel like it’s getting ripped

By the jaws of this so called life we live in

This abyss of a broken epiphany

The hopes of hopeless followers

And here you lay with your hands behind your head

And there’s nothing left to do about your life because

It’s just passing by like the memories that continue to drown you

Drown in the rivers of tears that stream by everyone you loves face

The oceans of freedom that you are to afraid to swim in

Forgetting why or how you came into this corrupted life

There’s nothing outside those four walls that are any different

Because the buildings are bigger

Or the air is cleaner,

No.

This is just another act,

Another trip around the circle parading like the freak that I am

And I see you arguing with yourself in the mirror

Because there is no one left to listen to the lies and anger that spew from your sweet lips

I’m walking on the tightline above the crowd of fears cheering me on

On to fall fore there is no net to catch me if I fall

So now we stare at the sun and wait for our eyes to burn

Bleach away the mistakes and reset the life we were not chosen to take

I don’t know why I feel like the way I do now

My head is dizzy and spinning with the illness eating my vary soul

Maybe this time I have lost control

Perhaps now I can close the act to this show.
