A Poem by Eyal

You shake my walls
Every time you walk in the room
And I’ll be honest, my dear
I can’t defy you, I can’t resist
But resist, I must
Each layer you undo
I put on a different shield
You unwrap me as you go on
And each time I cover with something else
You can dig and dig and carry on forever
But you’ll find no treasure
Because as you selfishly look for wealth
You overlook the truth that
The dirt you put aside
(Heaps and heaps of it)
Is me in all my glory
It’s all I’ve gathered and all that matters
Withered by time and timely misery
And you carelessly throw it away
Thinking that you cleanse me
thinking that you make me matter

I'm Shocked that I am the first Person to review this one but I love it. And I Love the truth in it. It's Perfect. I know a lot of people on here may view your writing and not say a word appreciate their silence because you left them speechless. I Loved this one I am a fan of some people who have really achieved imagery so naturally I would like to see more of it especially here. I believe you could reel the reader in I don't know you but because of how I felt reading it I would be incline to believe there was more that could have been said or brought to life to really help visualize it but nonetheless Great piece.
