Yellow

This is my first piece after struggling to write for almost 3 years. I wrote this short poem to describe my definition of love through colors and the never-ending bliss brought by this feeling.

Love can be red, blue, and pink. 

Everyone defines love in whatever color they think. 

It can be red, the burning passion between you two,

It can be blue, peace among hues,

It can be pink, sweet and sincere too. 

But for me, love is yellow. 

Bright enough to either see or blind your path for tomorrow. 

Also, this feeling is so warm ready to take all your worries and sorrow.

It reminds me of you and the sunset I could not forget,

You aren't scared that another day is about to set,

Because you will see me again, 

And spend our lifetime together like how we first met.

Well it is certainly true that pink and red would be more obvious choices for the color of love if one had to pick a color. Those are certainly the colors of Valentine's Day. I would also pick blue, but that's just a color I enjoy in general; I never really thought that anyone else would necessarily associate it with love specifically. But yellow, that's one I really didn't expect, but to hear the reasons it's yellow for you makes sense. An interesting write.

I would never have thought of love as yellow. Maybe that's because so many are afraid of it.

I think that somewhat we are all once afraid of love but it's fine because no one is rushing us to do so. :)
