A Night Stroll

A Night Stroll

A Poem by mnicorata

I stroll down and two paths meet

One divisive without uttering sounds

To this I call upon the elder trees

Dining on its sweet nectar

Melting into its grassy hole called home

I walk down and valleys cry

As mountains divide their alps groan

Winter breeze into hazy shades

Soft winds blow cascading waves

To this I call upon the elder trees

Drinking to the endless dew

For this I bellow in muck all alone

I walk pass and ferns so die

As oaks split branches like bone

Summer dances on thin-like air

Gust of tumult never deem fair

To this I call upon the elder trees

They point back toward my bed

Sleep like sorrows oh so lazily

I lie down and the moon rest

Eludes the green oh so hazily
