Twilight Fades

Twilight Fades

A Poem by mnicorata
"

Something I wrote describing my constant insomnia.

"

I used to be able to sleep

To lie in comfort all night

To bathe in twilight bliss

Taking things out of sight

Now I fight against the sky

Comfort never calming me

Twisted my mind becomes

Restless nights, slowing sea

The battle seems so tough

Drowning out seamless songs

Abiding endless currents blow

Awakening to pounding gongs

At times a spell I must take

Numbing the mind so tight

Waking ever so peacefully

To a hazed sleepless blight

Sometimes in the inside out

Humming vibrations duly rectify

Blurred eyelids from the delta

Utterly shaking from the mystify

Slowly it goes into the morn

When nighttime becomes obscure

Bitterly I cannot find the time

Waking into horizons that are unsure
