Horizon’s Call

Horizon’s Call

A Poem by mnicorata
"

A poem I wrote describing the beauty and darkness surrounding nature.

"
The light can shine so dim
As it seeps through the cracks
Beaming hazes flow easily
Upon the unknown of being black

And through the ages we shed
The light that speeds its path
Heading towards obscurity ahead
Lying down in bliss on our backs

Into the realm of embers we go
Shedding off the dull down day
We can shine in glory as we show
As embers of dawn pave the fray

Walking into dusk seen in dread
Showing ourselves in the marsh
Peacefully rocking the day away
Taking on what seems so harsh

And the moon beckons to us all
Trudging through the musky hollow
Hearing moths recreate their hum
Till the dawn falls, then we follow

Haunting the spirit as if it were dead
Filling the vision with certain blight
Ceasing the light within the shadows
We lie down in sleep and say goodnight
