Into the Gaze of Night

Into the Gaze of Night

A Poem by mnicorata
"

A poem describing the scenery of a meadow lake.

"
Carelessly we fight into blistered skies
Battling all the way through
Until the calm resides within the hills
Of a painting that lost its hue

Magnetic waves rumble within the valley
Into everything that is true
While the sizzling serpent sheds its skin
For a fiend of thought we knew

Oh reckless tickles at the mast
Of scattered lakes within the past
Matches flicker light upon the glass
These images of haunt never last

Then into summer we set our ways
Distant images set, forgotten days
Settling horizons among the trays
That trickle over the barren haze

Then we thought we saw the ending
Into a lost ocean view
But it never fades without descending
Nights erase into the blue
