Shots Flying in the Dark

Shots Flying in the Dark

A Poem by mnicorata
"

This poem was inspired by my close friend.

"
This endless battle bathed in light
Comes to a standstill at the helm
Reasoning it all from your view
I simply stand with an open palm

Then your magnet turned to gold
Feverishly I waited for the fall
But it never happened reluctantly
As I stood pacing right here and all

Waiting the moment for its diminish
While I simply take the opposite side
You never recede and as I finish
Always tempting me, you merely fly

The revolution must takes its toll
Opening blinders for a new age
Simply relaxing and fighting strong
I numbly surrender, recessing rage

Advancement on all fronts, you say
Guiding the morality for future days
Never ceasing fight, given up ways
Until push and cornered from delay

But then I held my head up high
Knowing faith full well in my head
Science will never explain the need
Filling myself up with constant dread

Hoping that one day this will show
The bronzed age stone will merely flow
Seeping through the cracks from below
The musket shot, low and to behold
