Splinter

Splinter

A Poem by mnicorata
"

Something I wrote what I thought true love might be like.

"
Tiredness enters my skin
Feeling drowsy, drained
While dancing little pebbles
Work inside my brain
Relaxation on the wings of love
Holding dearest to me, thoughts
Of a penetrable tune
Of distinctive motions
Of drowning in you
Love is something that is blind
Taking away breathless moments
When two trees sway in the wind
Leaves parting for one another
And this dance, water fills the wounds
In cosmic circles, we play the harp of time
We do not worry about the sun
Because we have the moon
Let the owl come and take a token
Broken splintered twigs thrown at the bottom
We can gather them up together
To build our home in the woods
Where the sun can be our ally
And the air carries our connection
Upon nights of wondrous imagination
Finding true passion in the rain

Author's Note

mnicorata
I wanted to explore the mystery in love, and all the things in entails so I used the analogy of trees in a forest to illustrate the connection two people share with one another when they experience love, even if it is at first sight.
