Gnome’s Utterance

Gnome’s Utterance

A Poem by mnicorata
"

I wanted to write kind of a humorous and sarcastic poem about a gnome who either gets his house invaded or him setting off on an adventure, whichever way you interpret it works.

"
Moving like cancer across the ocean floor
Reminding me of naught
Tracing along the lines of an eagle shore
Remembering all who fought
Down, down, down we go
To the stream where lilacs flow
Through, two, three and be
Until the center encompasses me
Looking into the distance as we wave
Reflecting on the summer
Taking shapes so eagerly shaved
Tilling as we slumber
Round, round, round we go
We must stop to enjoy the show
Beat, beat, beat the clock
Another race around the block
Doing the romantic dance of embers grace
Reminding of cycles rain
Prancing the gnome’s crazy dance
Shaving what needs to be slain
