A Door of Opportunity

A Door of Opportunity

A Poem by mnicorata
"

I found that good old fashion freedom does not cost a cent, and anyone who believes in should utterly fight to keep that freedom alive and well.

"
Freedom does not cost anything
Not too many people will agree
The land of our forefathers
Will never go down in history

The liberty we face
And the tyranny we fear
Is not at our borders
But in the land we adhere

The million faces of populace
Look down at us to inspire
But just as many of us
We like to give up and retire

To cease the fight on all fronts
And to give up what is ours
So many in abandonment
Lift the chains and tolerate scars

We can learn from pain if we allow
That we choose to carry on
The world is our dying oyster
And let those who inherit perish with sons

A liberty bell and a statue
Is what remains of our future
And to the few and proud
Do not deny them the plaster

That holds together a thousand generations
Which will feed many times over
Let our throats sing, and freedom ring
When we recognize the gigantic boulder

We can turn the tide
And fly into skies
We can see the world
We can conquer fears
We can stand up
To do what is right
And to not allow
Victims to turn into slaves
