I wrote this to my dad in 1988.

Just for you DAD!

When you spend a dollar you can always get one back

Time is a gift you can never retract

Thank God for a dad

Who spent genuine time with me

And now whatever I do

A little of him will be in me

Thank God for the times

He corrected me over the years

Yet stayed a while to wipe away the tears

Thank God for the time

He stood to plead with me

For knew I was in a position

I need not be

His reproof has always been

Of Godly wisdom from day one

When time has slipped by

A dad’s job will have been

Perfectly done

Written in 1988.
The best advice I can give to my readers is the same advice I give to my teens. Relax! Enjoy life, make mistakes, learn from them and stop dreaming long enough to give you dreams life. Put yourself out there just two feet past your comfort zone…close your eyes and free fall….that’s when you know your living!
