Life is PainA Poem by Kimberly "Melody" CarneyI didn't write it nor do I ever write to make others happy-only to make one think. We work towards a goal From the day we were born Unknowing of its value So left with dreams torn Were taught by the “others” Higher and higher to aim We are taught by our life The value of “life is pain” So sit back and mock me With your heads all held high I dare you to try out just once" This life of mine…come on try You will crumble with heart ache Never will you be quite the same I’ll then mock you and now cheer Come on get up…this “life is pain” You’ll crawl back to your sweet life Nice cars and homes built the same You lick your wounds in private I bare my scars with pride not shame I’ll always walk taller and wiser I never look down or block my view I steer clear of the fake self-deceiver Are you still in denial that it is you? You make me laugh in such pity Soon you’ll lose sight of your aim When you do, life’s new lesion" Is a crash course in “life is pain” © 2013 Kimberly "Melody" CarneyAuthor's Note
