Thankful

I am thankful to the mistakes I’ve made

For they have taught me what I know

I am thankful for the change I’ve made

For it has taught me how to grow

 

I am thankful for my heart done wrong

For now I can see how it was made

I am thankful that it mended strong

For again my heart I bravely gave

 

I am thankful for each sun set I see

For a new day un-promised soon begun

I am thankful I am free to be “just me”

For each moment a new song is sung

 

Laughter with tears, bravery and fears

Each a blessed gift and curse the same

Each lesson to be learned in changing gears

All a puzzle and so very far from a game

the nest of your soul, tidy your heart, just an observation, Sometimes when I read your art it is so clean crisp clear Colorado air on paper, I wonder at your ability to let the past go so freely ,I still struggle and you glide, sail in the present,what a bugle to hear a french horn across these pages peaks .
