Turning a Blind Eye

This was a response to a poem on here. Thought I'd share it with you.

Some say turn a blind eye,

Though I completely disagree,

the world is a dreadful place

 and change starts with me.

 I can't turn a blind eye,

 too many already do,

 I want a world with eyes wide open

 and it start with me and you.

 I want us to look straight into the eyes

 of all the things in life

 betting on our demise.

With heads held high

 and our backs

 straight and strong stand

hand in hand and arm in arm.

Taking one step at time

 making a difference with each rhyme,

until we reach a place of peace

in the same land but different times.

Ya see? I knew you would have some good reading here. I can tell pretty much what others may write about by how they review my material and this did not surprise me.
The statement is as bold as the print and a super touch, IMO. If you have a strong stomach and iron will, i would recommend my poems "A hero's oddity" and "Silent night" to you.
