SilenceA Poem by Kimberly "Melody" Carneysometimes it’s good to just listen and set someone else free
Silence It’s the one thing that does so much, by doing nothing at all. We sit and watch the time go by, love ones we never call. Its strength can be a double edge sword, when it’s used right or wrong. Sometimes its best, say nothing at all, for words can be so strong. The power of the tongue, unnoticed. It can break bonds, setting free. Its power should be one revered, rooted like an oak tree. Know it has the power to kill, a love that once was strong. Know it has the power to heal, If you think hard and long. Within it you can find wisdom or it can break you down. How will you choose to use this gift? Create a smile or a frown? The thought I know seems so simple, choosing once not to speak. Understand the power of voice, your mind it’s not so bleak. There are something’s that have power, far beyond what we see. Sometimes it’s good to just listen, and set someone else free. ~Melody © 2012 Kimberly "Melody" CarneyFeatured Review
