A brilliant Mind's, Very- Short Story
A Story by Kimberly "Melody" Carney
A very short story, with a very big point.
A brilliant mind was once condemned to die, by its very own master. It cried, "But why do you deem me to die?"
The master replied..."I've been told not to use you as also told what to think."
The mind cried, "But I've wisdom untold of a world brave and bold, do you still not want me?"
The master walked away with not even a thought...as he'd gave that ability away.

Author's Note
|
I have seen the wondrous minds of men be tossed to the way side, simply to follow another’s thoughts on a matter. Rather it is; religion, morals or how we should do what we do. This breaks my heart in two. Where are the free thinkers that carry the dreams of what may just change our tomorrow?
I for one have always followed my soul it’s been around far longer than me.

Oh wow what a write you have written here. You are right too with " A very short story, with a very big point". I love all of the true meaning in this with thoughts, freethinking, freedom, and life. This write hold so much truth, sadness too. The mind is a lovely gift. I love your inspiration for this as spoken of in your author's note, such a great inspiration for this small story. I really enjoyed reading this powerful write, indeed it makes a impact in the small space you wrote it in. Really nice.
