What is Perfect?

What is Perfect?

A Chapter by Kimberly "Melody" Carney

Perfection: to me is defined as perfectly balanced, one that loves themselves for who they are, understanding they are always changing. They  accept the bad for what it is, grasps the fact the good in them probably came from an epiphany in the mist of the bad.  They never blame “God” when something horrific happens. They look inside themselves to draw strength to get through it. They comes out stronger and wiser from each obstacle, never ever looks for flaws in others, humbly accepts they are but a piece of a puzzle far greater than self.

The goal in this life is to become as close to perfect as possible. The road to this is simple, yet harder than most think, simply because the first step is learning to let go. The greatest way to start is not to lie.

We choose not to tell lies to ourselves, friends, and family or anyone we come in contact with. By doing this we open the door for honesty on a new level. What do I mean by this…ok an example?

If I ask someone if I can borrow thirty-dollars and they say yes, but really don’t have it to give they just changed a lot of things.

One) they created a bridge (they can’t really support) for others to cross and it will be crossed again.

Two) they shut down there ability to say exactly what they wanted to say, cutting away a small but vital piece of themselves…there voice.

Three) they shut the door for opportunity for others to find their own personal strength in the art of problem solving.

I dare anyone for thirty days to challenge themselves to be 100% honest. Just thirty days. Not only will you see how much you lie for no true reason at all as well as will see the true nature of others, thus allowing them to reflect on themselves.
