Come Dream With MeA Poem by Kimberly "Melody" Carney
Against
the stone I lay my head
The
dreams brisk though my mind
Shapes and
colors, oh so divine
Right here
is where I shine
Blades
of grass, a slight purple hue,
Silver clouds,
peace inclined.
Trees that
whisper and sing to me,
I am
one of a kind.
I’ve
dreamed of dark and shallow graves,
and flowers
wince they came.
I’ve
dreamed of shepherds gone astray,
the
sheep are marred and lame.
I see
the thunder strike the earth,
And start
new life with in.
I’ve
seen life; wasted, consumed,
about the
mortal sin.
My
dreams are simple and revered.
They see
both sides of life.
I dream
that you might dream with me,
And set
aside your strife.
So come
with me, lay down your head,
And set
your cares aside.
Against
the stone release your mind.
The ropes of life untied.
~Melody
