Split

Split

A Poem by Kimberly "Melody" Carney
"

Two things you should learn to embrace, that which draws you in & that witch makes you cringe. Within both is wisdom.

"

We SPLIT, define, masking the underline.

Shallow as the depth of mirrors!

All reviled in sweetened time.

Unable to wash the soul with tears.

Keep walking the thin glass line,

one day you must face your fears.

You are SPLIT and undefined!

The raw darkened side sneers,

aware it has been undermined.

Hold fast, turn, change gears!

Be raw as the time draws nearer.

Heal the darkness as it appears.

No longer SPLIT, vision clearer.

~Melody

What we so often define ourselves by, is the same image we see in the mirror. Unfortunately this image holds as much depth as the mirror itself.

Wow my Poet friend. A very powerful poem. I like the places you took me in your words. Hard to find peace in your reflection. I ask myself daily. Did I do anything good? A mental journey into amazing poetry. Thank you.

This one may seem different from most of the poems I write; it is however very much how I write...I just love to induce the sensory with my point. Some may not like this one (music, pictures) I did this how I did this on purpose. It all makes a point.
