I AM!

I AM!

A Poem by Kimberly "Melody" Carney
"

Sometime when we think God didn’t answer our prayers, we just didn't realize he did by giving us the strength to do it ourselves.

"

new life

 I AM!

Truly, I am,

a woman that has been beat down,

crawling on hands and knees.

Begging for God to make it stop,

He answered none of these.

Who will be the one to end this,

to make this nightmare cease?

I AM!

Truly, I am,

a woman that has fought to leave,

to build a better life.

Homeless, shelters and hungry kids,

strangers craving such strife.

Who will help me find us a home,

someone more than a wife?

I AM!

Truly, I am,

a mother alone full of fear,

searching for a new way.

My children so dear and trusting,

unsure of what to say.

Who will make this all turn around,

to make blue skies from grey?

I AM!

Truly, I am,

the one to reach deep down inside,

Move forward and not stray.

A woman with my head held high,

No longer scared to say,

Who is worth everything I did?

Who found a brand new way?

I AM!

I AM!

I AM!

I was told a short while ago, to put a little of my past in verse. I waited until I thought I could do it some justice. I am not one to talk of negative...yet it takes the negative and the positive to make a charge. Hope you find my understanding in, this little piece of me.

I love this poem it is very inspirational! Being a strong woman who is independent and doesn't need a man to help her, she is able to pull through on her own. I admire that strength in a woman. I have a friend who would relate well to this poem and I admire her strength and endurance through the strife of her life. I will have to share this with her!

Thank you, I have no more or less courage than the next...I just chose to use what we already have.
Ah beautiful i always say write about what you know what you experience what you feel.In so doing we all get to ride along and feel along with you and more importantly for you. You are doing so well at creating wonders. The key is emotion touching another soul with the truth .Not always pretty or kind but beautiful none the less

Must be. XD
This is beautiful, I love the way my eyes glide over every word so effortlessly. The beginning nearly breaks my heart, but it ends well. Lovely.

You are too kind.
This one like the others i find to be a work of art. Your words are so deep that even if i dropped a flashlight in the abyss of them it would get lost. Bravo ms lady i love it.

I am humbled by your words...you have no idea.
If we truly want to change then it is possible. The only limits are the ones we set for ourselves and I believe GOd gives us strength and help when we need it but not always when we want or expect it. This is a great inspirational poem about gaining our inner courage and strength to move forward in a positive direction.

I could feel your soul screaming.. I AM..I AM. The picture also holds incredible symbolism. The ground is dry and barren...but life crawls through and breaks the surface...a beautiful green.....alive...and pure. Like your two arms being held up high to touch the heavens..you are almost there...delivered..a live! A live you are!
