I AM!

I AM!

A Poem by Kimberly "Melody" Carney
"

Sometime when we think God didn’t answer our prayers, we just didn't realize he did by giving us the strength to do it ourselves.

"

new life

 I AM!

Truly, I am,

a woman that has been beat down,

crawling on hands and knees.

Begging for God to make it stop,

He answered none of these.

Who will be the one to end this,

to make this nightmare cease?

I AM!

Truly, I am,

a woman that has fought to leave,

to build a better life.

Homeless, shelters and hungry kids,

strangers craving such strife.

Who will help me find us a home,

someone more than a wife?

I AM!

Truly, I am,

a mother alone full of fear,

searching for a new way.

My children so dear and trusting,

unsure of what to say.

Who will make this all turn around,

to make blue skies from grey?

I AM!

Truly, I am,

the one to reach deep down inside,

Move forward and not stray.

A woman with my head held high,

No longer scared to say,

Who is worth everything I did?

Who found a brand new way?

I AM!

I AM!

I AM!

I was told a short while ago, to put a little of my past in verse. I waited until I thought I could do it some justice. I am not one to talk of negative...yet it takes the negative and the positive to make a charge. Hope you find my understanding in, this little piece of me.

I love this poem it is very inspirational! Being a strong woman who is independent and doesn't need a man to help her, she is able to pull through on her own. I admire that strength in a woman. I have a friend who would relate well to this poem and I admire her strength and endurance through the strife of her life. I will have to share this with her!
