Existential Crisis ~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

Existential Crisis ~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

A Poem by Bhuyanshi Talukdar

The stars were my cradle
My womb the black void.

I heard the screams of life and destruction
I felt the fires of rage and ambition
I saw the tears of joy and anguish.

I knew since my first breath
That I was alone in a vast and empty universe.

My existence is an anomaly,
A cosmic mistake,
A ripple in the ocean of nothing.
So I sail the empty seas endlessly.
In search of peace.

The way you write is so comforting. I can clearly visualise everything and feel all the emotions you captured in this poem.

Love this. The search for peace is all too real. I must protest though, we are no mistakes! I think. Anyways, cheers

Powerful. The pain is palpable.

To me it seems like you are in great pain... and you have little worth of self.... you think you are an anomaly but you like many are simply finding their peace in the sea...searching for tranquility as the waves take you to a place of peace and serenity....take you time and the sea will find it for you.....
nice metaphor....
Warmly, B

The irony, is water as a peace system. Water represents drowning, the most or one of the most painful types of death. I like the symbolism, at the outset of the poem.
