Underground town~ Bhuyanshi TalukdarA Poem by Bhuyanshi Talukdar
The streets littered with
the aftermath of battle. The stench of war and the fog of destruction fill my lungs as I walk. Passing by pubs and fish and chips stands I see the big Ben towering high above. And all I could see was rubble and ash I was devastated, everything I knew Gone, just gone. Seeing double deckers drive by, Passing by the temples and museums, Galleries, and the Thames and the palaces A place that was rebuilt after the blitz bomb. I see the town as it was And as it is now And as it will be forever. © 2024 Bhuyanshi Talukdar |
