A Christian at heart ~ Bhuyanshi TalukdarA Poem by Bhuyanshi Talukdar
I may be a sinner rather than a devotee;
But I'm a Christian at heart. In the winding roads of veins, I find my way, Underneath that big ol' sky, where I kneel and pray. Through the twists and turns of life, I hold on tight, In the blood vessels of faith, I see the light. In the gentle touch of fingertips, I feel His love, Like a warm breeze blowin', from heaven above. With each heartbeat, I'm singin' His praise, In His rhythm, I find my grace-filled days. "Though I walk through the valley, I fear no evil," In His presence, I find strength to face upheaval. Thee rod and staff, they comfort me, In the arteries of hope, I'm forever free. Down the winding trails of intestines, I roam, In the depths of my soul, I find my home. In Thy embrace, I'm where I belong, In the language of the heart, I sing my carols. "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want," In His pastures, my soul finds its haunt. With each beat of His heart, I'm led, In Thy love, I find my daily bread. I'm a Christian at heart, in Thy love, I'll never part. Forever bound to Thee, O Lord, with Thy grace and Thy majesty. © 2024 Bhuyanshi Talukdar |
