Bougainvillea on the street ~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

Bougainvillea on the street ~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

A Poem by Bhuyanshi Talukdar

Sunny Climes,
Tanned skin meets
the climbing tendrils,
A touch of nostalgia's grin.
Grandpa's tale blooms
like flowers on a whim.

Like confetti in the wind,
A sentinel breeze whistles
of a tale by the wind.
A mosaic of colors in mid-air,
Each petal,
a page of clutchin' memoir.

Holding hands felt like an anchor,
Petals mimic the delicate
touch of his weathered fingers.

Like a vintage film,
a delicate prism of
a soft summer shower,
Whispered echoes of
joyful mirth
intensifies with each rustle of leaves.

The flight of petals
conjuring thoughts of him,
Alleys linger,
the name of Grandpa.
