A sip to sup~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

A sip to sup~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

A Poem by Bhuyanshi Talukdar

Under the gingko tree's shade
I brew my tea quiet escapade
Tea leaves sway in my hand
The Kettle hums as it says
Steam rises from the
porcelain cup,
it conceives
As water kisses the leaves
With each steeping,
flavors bloom
As spices mingles,
the air fills the room.

Jasmine whispers in my ear,
sweet as lullaby
As I took a sip,
Im lost in time's maze
Like an old leather-bound tome
In it's amber elixir,
I found my way back home.

Orchids and fruits in my secret den
A cacophonous song embarks
a lively tune to life
Sip by sip,
it soothes my heart and mind.

Loved this. Reminded me of my mother who insisted on proper tea, at the appropriate times. I on the other hand am a heathen.

vivid imagery and easy cadence of your poem make for an intoxicating brew BT. reading it put me in mind of watching the elaborate but so gracefully simple actions of a traditional japanese tea ceremony.
