Prophetic Breath of Autumn ~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

Prophetic Breath of Autumn ~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

A Poem by Bhuyanshi Talukdar

Autumn breeze gently
caresses my skin
I feel you in its midst,
In every whisper of wind.
Leaves dance like ancient scrolls,
in wind's ballet.
Golden leaves secrets conceal,
In the realm of mortals

A fading ember in the west,
Paints the sky with its final quest
We're truly blest in crimson,
gold and amber tinged.

The dimming of fall,
Gracefully tints the horizon
Grove's whispers,
like a melody of zither.

In this prophetic breath of
Autumn's call,
I find serenity in you,
as a healing balm.

A poem rich in its descriptive quality. I felt the need, after the first few verses, to read it with a degree of reverence. I have always disliked autumn as I see it as a seaason which is filled with foreboding; the onset of winter and the month of November which is shrouded in solemnity as we remember the dead of many wars. However, it does possess a prophetic quality as it points toward Christmas, a time of celebration and the hope of redemption. Thank you for this.
