The Palace of bliss~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

The Palace of bliss~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

A Poem by Bhuyanshi Talukdar

Like dandelions rooted in love,
wildflowers in the wind
and silver rain on our skin.

Under the ancient walls
of Punakha dzong
The breeze blows
and the coolness hits the face.
Cigarettes are lingering,
dense and overflowing
With our love
it gradually rises.

As we reach the Mo Chuu River
We dip our toes in the cool,
crystal-clear stream
Hand in hand,
Reminiscing about the
blissful moments of youth.

In the serene sanctuary
of Sangchhen Nunnery,
Our hearts found comfort
like birds finding
shelter in their nests.

Timeless .. this is a fine example of contemporary poetry and I sincerely hope you are proud of what you have essentially gifted to us .. I also hope that more visitors will pay their own respects .. because both you and these words so deserve to be visited and appreciated .. Neville

I particularly admire the third and fourth stanzas here. They speak to me of enduring love. A love which has lasted many years. Togetherness and serenity through time. Beautiful poetry.
