Wicked

Wicked

A Poem by MelLo

A dilemma of the mind,
words, thoughts, contradictions, indications...
Eyes closed, heart wide open
Sense truth within the lies...
Lies become us!
Truth is bared in still frames, drunken moments...
Your heart beats to the rhythm of fear!
Fear of losing, of neglect, of being discovered a fake...
Drowning pain in a sea of lonely mistakes,
self-loathing agony with a smile facade.
Speak to me, lie to me, believe your own truths!
No one but the self can rescue you!
Love, never wasted but shared in vain
Give love, feel love, understand self-love!
Or surrender your soul to perpetual lonesome,
using, consuming, sucking the blood vessel dry!
These fangs leave not the smallest droplet of kindness, love, trust, or even sanity to be enjoyed in the feast!
A choice, a word, a decision to make:
But, if destiny is yours to determine,
who else can you blame?

"But, if destiny is yours to determine,
who else can you blame?"

I find this line a bit odd coming from one that believes in fate. However, I think I know where this poem came from and sometimes we are the ones that chose the path we forever walk backwards on. ;)

"These fangs leave not the smallest droplet of kindness, love, trust, or even sanity to be enjoyed in the feast!"

Now this line here is classic! Suck one dry with no remorse.

I'm so happy you finally got your butt here!!

Kudos! ♥
