Close of Summer

Close of Summer

A Poem by M Lamont

Stroll the surf once more

One more wear of the sandals

Deflate the beach ball

Put away the bathing suits

Summer will return next year

This was just so nostalgic. You pretty much said in a nut shell what the end of summer conjures in most of our minds. This was a very well written tanka.-Catrina

Very nice little Haiku. I really imagine the closing of summer when you wrote

"Deflate the beach ball.">>>> It really makes me feel like. Wow. This is it. The end of summer.

love,
Natassia
