Melody girl takes us on a journey

Traveling through her head

She gingerly sifts through her life’s experience

Weaving her untold story

 

Another place and another time

We find Melody girl lost in her own world

A happy lost as she translates her thoughts

From head to paper, the story’s fantastic journey

 

Assigning the notes and the beats

The story slowly transforms among the clef

From just words that tell a story

To a song that carries us away

Ah, the good old feeling one can get from a song, some songs even give me goosebumps.
For me, music is a part of life, and you describe that feeling wonderful in your poem :)

This has a sweet tone to it, I liked this idea of melody girl the muse.

I would change the last two lines from;

From just words that tell a story
To a song that carries us away

to

From words that tell a story
To songs that carries us away

I think it gives softer edge.

Nice though, just an idea.
