Yesterday belongs to all

Today is the jealous one

And God lives in tomorrow

 

Yesterday has made the acquaintance of all

Today decides you or I

And tomorrow is by God surprised

 

Yesterday all have tasted

Today pleases whom he loves

And tomorrow waits upon God

 

Yesterday is God’s memorial

Today is the gift of God

And what is tomorrow but the Imagination of God

 

Yesterday is the census of all souls

Today is watchman of fireflies

Tomorrow is the candle of God

 

Yesterday is hallowed archive of footprints

Today uncertain step-ladder

Tomorrow wears the sandals of God

 

Yesterday has graced every heart

Today prevents tomorrow

Tomorrow boasts of God

 

Yesterday we remember

Today we guess

Tomorrow we thank God
