This reminds me of that song by XTC "Dear God" , with the line "Did you make disease and the diamond blue? Did you make mankind or did we make you?" We made God to answer the questions in the universe for which we could not find the answer. As we learn more and discover more about the inner workings of the universe, God fades.
a nice question to ponder...as a child, we accept the answer that is given...as an adult, we accept the answer that we give ourselves...both offer comfort...very nicely done how you reflect there are no consequences to discovering the answer...skillfully mastered flow of thought...SPLENDID!
This reminds me a little of Sheryll Crow's song, 'what if God was one of us' for in your poem, God is indeed one of us, in constant interaction.
You do not need fancy words to write down beautiful poetry and food for thought!

I love this! I love how the poem comes full circle at the end, and the repetition within the two stanzas! Very original & creative. You have so much talent. x_x;
