Sweet Light of Day

Sweet Light of Day

A Poem by midnight reaper

Sweet light of day
Save me from myself
Darkness in dismay
Pay, to keep it on a shelf
Sweet light of day
Pray for me
Safe and away
See and dismay
The sweet light of day
May cover grave mistakes
Bake in fire
Ashes of empire
Seen, by sweet light of day
I say dissolve in your arms
Far from simple charms
Oh sweet light of day
I may be lead astray
But not under your hopeful rays
Sweet light of day
I may carry this noose
Feel strange
No helpful change, if not by
Sweet light of day
