She and I

She and I

A Poem by midnight reaper

She said, it's overboard
I said, it's ok
Old age
She said, I'm scared
I said, it's ok
Old age
She asks take my hand
So I did
Old age
We lay in bed, bare
We lay together, till the end
Old age

A lot said in this spare, brief poem. Perhaps because I am in old age I can relate to it. There is a touching nobility about the support that can be given mutually in the latter hears. Perhaps true love dwells here more than in the passion of youth. Well done.
