The Parasite

The Parasite

A Story by midnight reaper

The slow eating of you from inside is definitely gruesome. It starts with the realization your fire is fading and the oxygen it so desperately needs becoming more and more lackluster. Though you move on thinking nothing of it, shaking it off as just boredom that only perceives relevance in this very second. Though as the days stretch on it becomes more prevalent. You seem to never be able to pick up the book that you always wanted to read or you feel like drowning when you wish to express a thought that was lodged deep inside just moments ago. Though these are only early signs and as the parasite progresses through your soul, through you eating everything you may blame it on the system or the education you are given. But truly no one may know what births this awful parasite that eats you from the inside. Yet it almost always ends the same, a gruesome death where only your shell and hollow eyes remain.
