hiding from society

not really a poem but not a story...

You should eat

says the anorexic girl.

Cutting is bad

says the boy with the blade in his hand

Don't do drugs

say the potheads

Hypocrisy?

Not in the slightest.

Lies?

No.

Did you ever think that just 

maybe

maybe

these people don't do these things by choice.

 they're hiding. 

maybe

 they hurt. 

maybe

it's your fault. What did you do to help?

 Live life to it's fullest

says the guy who pulled the trigger

You know him.

Knew him.

You rejected his call.

He's dead.

Good job.

My best friend is gone.

wow...very powerful poem. i love how you describe that people arent being hipocrites when they tell you not to do destructive things that they do themselves. They are only trying to help you and tell you how bad it is based on experiances theyve had. This poem reminds me of myself alot because i used to have several issues that i tell people to avoid. everyone has their own s**t to deal with, and it is important that we know that. very well written poem.
