Afterwards

Afterwards

A Poem by melril18

He's becoming the person he didn't want me to see.
He's done with me so he doesn't have to be someone he's not.
He went back to the drugs he never gave up.
How were we supposed to talk when he was always smoking pot?
He lied to me until infinity.
Always on the phone 'til three.
You opened me up and ripped me apart.
You broke my sheltered heart.
