I've Moved On.A Poem by Matthew. A. KellowYou put me down all the time, What you do is a terrible crime. Why can’t you be someone different? You make me feel so insignificant.
When judgement day arrives you better pray, For you cannot hide from God what you say. What use is it trying to make you see? That all I want from life is just to be free.
One day I will leave and never come back, For no longer can I stand what you lack. So ask your self are you happy with that? I’m just the s**t on your shoe which you wipe on the mat.
The middle child of but three, A little black sheep of your family. Why do you not see the trouble you make? The boy who cried wolf your just a fake.
You have lost this family member, When the day comes I hope you remember. Why do you shout, rant and rave? Our relationship is broken and sent to the grave.
These wounds you have given will never heal, You do not understand the way that I feel. Can this be the end of the life we share? So I look in your eyes and hold in a stare.
To show that you can’t push me around, You try to deceive, betray and bound. What is it you are trying to succeed in? This soul you’re messing with is not that thin.
My life has moved on your not important, You cause others pain for your own amusement. How can you not see how little you are? All your lies and anger have just gone too far.
You steal happiness and I’m done with that, I have my own life and my name is Matt. Why can’t you see you need to move on? Or you will find that by next light I am gone.© 2013 Matthew. A. Kellow |
