A Dreamer

A Dreamer

A Poem by Megan
"

a person that once had meaningful dreams is now left with bad dreams after experiencing the pain of the world.

"
A bedroom.
A place of comfort, peace, a place to escape.
laying motionless watching as dreams fade to restless nights. "
Tossing and turning aching for the dreams to return.
The dreams of happiness, fun, romance and adventure fade away slowly.
only to return in the fomr of terror, horror, and shame.
the mind that was once so full of hope and visions is tossed to the side.
A new mind replaces the old one.
the new mind eating away at every good dream until nothing is left
the old dream helped me sleep. the dream was my protector, the new dream is my enemy.
the dream is no longer my dad kissing me in at night and tucking me in.
the new dream is of a new man in my room.
a man not kissing me goodnight but instead a man taking the blankets from me and exposing my body.
The new dream eats away the happiness until only sadness is left.
My dreams becoming his dreams with no way to escape, no way to wake up.
A dream that becomes reality

Love it. Such an amazing and powerful piece. Keep at it! There is a mistype where you put "fomr" instead of "form". Keep writing!

you did a good job. Keep painting pictures with your words!
This poem has potential. In the first line of the second stanza, it's supposed to say "form" and not "fomr."
