Sunset broke the horizon .

It shook and baked the sands .

The river flowed still and lifeless .

As time slipped from God's hands .

Nothing short of a miracle .

But all too short of sincere .

Answers are questions waiting for their day .

And no answer ever comes to be clear ....

I've made a promise I plan to keep .

I promised my lover nothing to fear .

Her goodbye is silenced by weeping .

For all of the things that we refuse to hear .
