Beautiful

You hear everyone say models are beautiful.

And you let your stupid self listen to them.

Everyone is buying that new iPod.

Of course you have to get one too.

You see everyone wearing those so-called 'cute' mini dresses.

You need to have it to fit in.

 

But then you stop, for just a moment. You ask yourself, "Why am I getting these things again?"

 

Did you really need to work so hard to try to be beautiful? To fit in? To get approvment from everyone?

 

Then, eventually, you finally realize you can have your own style. That you can be different. Who cares how you look on the outside?

 

Your friend says to you, "What are you doing? No one wears that anymore."

 

And you say, "The in way is to be beautiful on the inside."

That is what makes YOU beautiful! This is Excellent! If we, as people, spend all this time trying to redo ourselves to the liking of others...then we are no longer ourselves, but someone else who has been created by another. To be ourselves is to be honest...and to be honest will only serve to include honest people in our lives who will honestly appreciate who and what we are. Thanks for sharing!
