Opened

Opened

A Poem by M J Moore
"

When your eyes open...

"

He’s no longer her hero

But he’ll always be her love.

He is no longer her knight,

Waiting to rescue her from her life

He is no longer her gallant brave

Off to pillage and plunder for her heart.

Instead, he is human,

In all his faults.

Instead he is human,

And his heart no longer sees,

All she could be, all that she is.

He sees what’s in front of him,

What she doesn’t hide.

He no longer sees what’s inside,

Her heart and passion hidden within.

He is blind, her eyes are open.

He hasn’t changed. Her soul grows each day.

Finding strength in her opened eyes.

She's finally awake--slumbers no longer.

She is strong without him, always a storm

Passionate--quaking--full of...

But sometimes, in those quiet liminal moments

of betwixt and between--

She remembers the smell

of him.

About
I want to be different some days. Some days I'm perfectly happy and content being me. I think in third person. I don't like to cry. Only 2 people can make me cry. I tend to strike out when I'm sad o.. more..
