This Is The Place

This Is The Place

A Poem by Mariah

Strolling along the beaten path

utterly alone, I strive onto where the road ends.

Past the wooden fence, our meadow is.

Twirling across the open field

the breeze slides past me, essence of perfection.

This was our place, a peaceful acquaintance.

But abolished by an unknown infection,

because it started as beauty, my marvel of interest.

Everything of mine thats sweet, ends bitter and cold.

This is the place we first laid eyes on one another.

When we were just reckless and relentless.

Never giving up the hope inside us.

This is place you took me every night, to kiss.

Your lips pressing against mine, the only medicine that cured.

Pressing your palm where my heart was

Whispering to me, that I was everything you needed.

Impossibly incredible.

This is the place you spoke to me, the words of death.

I love you, with that accent of yours.

You knelt down, with a ring in mind.

Will you be forever mine?
