Dissolved Fig LeavesA Poem by JaneIvanyFragments of last nights dream.
Disrobed & sweltering
Curiosity & anticipation Evident in pearls of mind-filled guilt Pooling in valleys of collarbone Moonlit highlights Inumbrate hollows Assailable in our barren perfection In our starkness Face-to-face & our long awaited questions & wonderment is clarified. I accept the fruit from the serpent Offer it to you You decline. You brew coffee And add, "let's hold each other" Pearls of guilt harmonize Our moonlit highlights & Inumbrate hollows swirl, We are at peace together, warmth and comfort, Our lovers are at home awaiting, Our questions are answered, Knowing of what could never have been. © 2013 JaneIvany |
