Spring Rain

Spring Rain

A Poem by Michaela
"

Enjoying the morning spring rain with my pups. Figured it was a good time to let everyone feel it to.

"
Rain on a tin roof
weather fills the day with gloom
goosebumps cover my arms
but i don't retreat inside

The rain brings me alive
awakens my senses
energizing deep breaths
invigorating smell of spring

the sounds encompass me
sounds so insistent
echoing through my ears.
making me feel oddly free

the rain starts to slow
snapping back to reality
cold rush through my fingertips
Its time for me to retreat.

Extraordinary. I love the use of your words. I love rains, your narration makes me love it even more. Good work in waking up my senses to feel the beauty and it makes me think of millions of happening in my life that I can use this as a metaphor. I love the last line.
Like I am making myself immune to all of the things so I can never be affected again when it hits me back again. Thank you for writing.

The refreshing birth of life a spring rain brings is echoed in your words here. I wonder if the first line of the second stanza might read "brings me life" or "makes me alive" An excellent read to an excellent write.

I really related to this. not so much the sense that I love the rain (because I don't) but because I find calm and beauty in situations most people run away from. Maybe because there not there.

A nice and easy read. I really liked the atmosphere of it: soothing, refreshing and you did a great job capturing the picture.

Thank you for reviewing!
I've always been a weather fanatic, so while most of my friends hate thunderstorms, I love them! Rain, even when it is just a light sprinkle, has an energy to it that is most definitely different than that of a clear, sunny day, that's for sure! I really enjoyed reading this poem. Keep up the great work! :)
